Private investigators track down witnesses and obtain statements and locate physical evidence that might prove a client's innocence or demonstrate a strength in the plaintiff’s action.

Private investigators are also quite skilled in interviewing anyone who may have an impact on a case.

Private investigators investigate crimes (Private Detective), affiliations, associations, transactions, reputation or character of any person, group of persons, association, organization, society, other groups of persons, firm or corporation; conduct surveillance; perform background checks on vendors, contractors and suppliers; perform due diligence to determine the honesty, efficiency, loyalty of people or activities of employees, agents, contractors, and sub-contractors; and secure evidence to be used before any authorized investigating committee, board of award, board of arbitration, or in the trial of civil or criminal cases.
